overall eye appeal, includes many attractive advertising covers, excellent foreign usages such as Brazil, Denmark, Netherlands and Switzerland, there are multiples on cover including several of the imperforates (including a block of six, which is the
largest known multiple on cover), plus there are better interesting items such as four first day cover usages of the perforated stamp (catalog $500.00 each) from Brooklyn, N.Y. (unusual postal card usage), Detroit, Mich., Modesto, Cal. and
Philadelphia, Pa., in the imperforates we note a couple with Schermack Ty. III private perforations (early usages), and concluding with five covers franked with the scarce bluish paper stamps (catalog $425.00 each on cover), fine-very fine;
all-in-all an excellent basis for a specialized collection or exhibit. |

Lincoln stamp (Agriculture, Executive, Interior, Justice, Navy, State, Treasury and War), each brilliantly fresh and mostly well margined, a couple of proofs with trivial hinge thin spots, largely very fine, except for the 6c Navy which is damaged
and has not been counted in the catalog value; these proofs were displayed at the International Cotton Exposition held in Atlanta, Georgia in 1881, only one sheet of one hundred was printed in each of the five different colors.
