#210, 2c Red brown used on foreign mail exhibit collection offered intact, 84 covers mostly from the U.S. to foreign destinations, showing the variety of rates to a
wide range of countries, strong in Europe, but also good representation of South & Central America, Australia, and Asia, including two from the U.S. Postal Agency in Shanghai, with the 2c stamp making up rates for first class, third class and
registered mail, even when there is a more "common" destination present, the representative cover is usually an uncommon usage, for instance two for Canada have mixed U.S./Canada frankings, in fact there are thirteen covers that have mixed country
frankings (for postage due or forwarding) including one three-country franking (U.S./France/Italy), one cover to France contains 21 examples on a 3c Entire paying seven times postage plus the registration fee, a couple have Wells, Fargo printed
franks, most are fine or better; an excellent opportunity to obtain an intact specialized exhibit of this popular stamp. (Image) |
