EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A STUNNING MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE $5.00 1923 ISSUE IN THE SCARCER SHADE.
With 2010 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98, SMQ $2,100.00). This is the highest grade awarded to date and only seven others share this grade (Image)
EXTREMELY FINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE MINT NEVER-HINGED BLOCK OF FOUR OF THE 29-CENT NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE ERROR, CONTAINING ONE INVERT AND THREE WITH THE VIGNETTE COMPLETELY OMITTED. A WONDERFUL POSITION PIECE FROM THE TOP LEFT CORNER OF THE PANE.
Two panes in total were discovered. This block comes from the second to be discovered. Each pane consists of 40 stamps, and of these 28 were with the centers inverted and 12 were with the centers completely omitted. The panes are from different positions on the sheet, so conceivably this multiple is unique.
With 2006 P.S.E. certificate. The center omitted variety is unlisted in Scott but is more than twice as rare as the invert. The single invert in this block catalogues $22,500.00. (Image)
EXTREMELY FINE. A DESIRABLE EXAMPLE OF THE 29-CENT NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE INVERT.
Two panes containing this invert error were discovered, for a total of 56 examples recorded. The bottom rows of each pane have the black completely missing (twelve stamps) as the vignettes for these were printed off the top of the sheet as seen here. This is the first invert error to be discovered since the 1979 C.I.A. Invert (excluding the illegally-released Nixon Invert, which cannot be legitimately owned).
With 2007 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90, unpriced in SMQ). Normal stamp accompanies for comparison. (Image)
