Hahn Collection of New York State Straightline and Unusual Town Handstamps. Approximately 650 folded letters/covers forming the core of the Hahn collection, an enormous number of post offices represented, about 150 straightline handstamps, the others are ovals and circles with many ornamental or unusual types, many in color, no heavy or unnecessary duplication but Mr. Hahn attempted to collect every type of marking for each town including subtle variations, almost every cover has a typed label with Mr. Hahn's copious notes, condition varies with some faulty covers or weak strikes present for completeness A STAGGERING COMPILATION OF NEW YORK STATE POSTAL MARKINGS FROM THE 1800s, FORMED OVER A LIFETIME BY ONE OF THE LEADING POSTAL HISTORIANS OF THE EMPIRE STATE.
