VERY GOOD. THIS IS THE UNIQUE UNUSED BLOCK OF FOUR OF THE 1914 ONE-CENT PERF 12 x 10 ISSUE. A GREAT RARITY OF 20TH CENTURY PHILATELY.

All genuine stamps are off-center to some degree, with the perfs touching at top on all but three. The only other block known of any of the Compound Perf issues is the used block of four of 423A, also offered in the "Sirron" collection (lot 2007)

This remarkable used block was handled by Robert L. Markovits in 1974 and is still the only recorded used block of any of the Compound Perf issues. The largest unused multiple is a block of four, offered in lot 2003.
